Joe
Higgins was elected to the dail in 1997 as the Socialist Party candidate.
This first parliamentary victory for the party was the fruit of many
years of principled campaigning on the issues of most concern to working
class people by the party and of the outstanding record of Joe himself
in that regard. Unfortunatley Joe lost his seat in the 2007 election, but he remains a committed capmaigner in the interests of working class people in Dublin West and around the country. |
